Justin Brunson gives Loki Media the lowdown on his latest project, the hugely popular “Royal Rooster”, a weekday lunch pop-up inside Old Major serving the most delicious fried chicken sandwiches in town. If you’re in Denver and hungry, stop by The Rooster and get your fix, because these sandwiches deliver.

The Menu

Loki’s Recommendation: The Spicy Rooster was our favorite; it’s one of the top sellers and the Sriracha mayo-dill pickle combo is devilishly good. The kimchi on the Korean Rooster was also a nice change-up to the traditional fried chicken sandwich.

The house-made buns are indeed delightfully squishy and they sit well in the stomach when paired with warm crispy-fried chicken on a cold winter day. At only $12 for top-notch ingredients and locally sourced, humanely raised birds (Englewood’s Red Bird Chicken Farms) this is a deal you can’t afford to pass up. Quick and efficient service from the always friendly staff allows you to pop in and out on your lunch break, which is a nice bonus for us driving in the often congested Denver traffic.

What are you waiting for? See you at the Rooster!
